Tofinou model range
Back in 1929 a classic styled wooden boat was designed to sail on the coastal waters of La Rochelle, France. In 1987 the architects Joubert-Nivelt redesigned the boat to create a double hulled unsinkable polyester yacht and called her the Tofinou 7.
She has a classic hull shape, with ballast keel and lifting centreboard, a deck entirely covered in teak, a painted rig and diesel engine, and high gloss mahogany to give her the real touch of a traditional wooden yacht.
Splendid day cruiser of 8 m, developed for fast sailing, shorthanded or with an entire crew. The Tofinou 8 has a modern hull shape with a fin or lifting keel.
Thanks to her cockpit layout all manoeuvres are led aft to the skipper, and since she is equipped with a selftacking jib, the Tofinou 8 can be sailed by one single person or invites for easy cruising with your family.
Key words: diesel engine, painted 9/10 rig, bowsprit, teak deck, high gloss mahogany that covers all lines and halyards, crew: 1 up to 6
Fast cruising on board a 9.5 m yacht that can be manoeuvred and handled by one single person or a crew of up to 6 people. The Tofinou 9.50 has a classic look but in fact her hull and rig hide a thoroughbred sporty yacht, meant to sail high up wind, sail in regattas or simply to enjoy the pleasure of true cruising, in full comfort, with the entire family.
Key words: modern hull, teak covered deck, mast in carbon, bowsprit, diesel engine, lifting keel to visit deep and shallow waters, xl-cockpit for a crew of 1 up to 6 sailors.
This is Latitudes' latest model: The Tofinou 12 is a weekend cruiser. The interior is a design by the famous French architect and kameleon designer Philippe STARCK.
The Tofinou 12 enjoys the style characteristics of her sisters: a sleek uncluttered deck layout, mast in carbon, selftacking jib, mahagony covered cockpit coamings to cover all halyard and sheets, full teak on deck and in the cockpit and a spacious aft platform. She has a twin steering wheel system with pushpits offering comfort to the helmsman.
The Tofinou 12 hides a full cabin layout, galley, heads compartment and 4 berths ideal for weekend trips and overnight stays. And during the day, she sails fast, very fast indeed !
